Fieldstone
Fieldstone is a any natural,
irregularly-shaped, stone found on or in the ground. This is
an ideal stone for walls, stepping stone paths, and fireplaces.
Early settlers constructed hundreds of stone walls from the
stones turned up as they cleared the land for farming and boundaries.
These classic walls can be seen all over New England.
